At what resolution / DPI does the PNG render?

Pages are rendered at 150 DPI, which is crisp on screen and fine for most printing. There is no DPI setting for Word to PNG. For 72 or 300 DPI, convert the Word to PDF first, then use the PDF to PNG converter, which has a Resolution setting.
Can I convert just specific pages of the Word to PNG?

No. There is no page setting for Word files, so every page is rendered as its own PNG and you keep the ones you need. If you only want the first page, convert the Word to PDF and then use the PDF to PNG converter, whose Pages menu offers First page only.
Can I use the PNG images as previews or thumbnails?

Will the PNG be searchable or selectable text?

No — rasterizing the Word to PNG turns text into pixels, so the image is not searchable or selectable. That is intentional: image output is for pixel-exact visual sharing. If you need editable or searchable output, convert the Word to DOCX or keep it as text instead.
Is my Word private during conversion?

How long does Word to PNG take for a long document?

It depends on the size and length of the file. Small documents and images are usually ready quickly. Long videos take the longest, because most video conversions re-encode every frame.
Why does my PNG look pixelated when zoomed in?

You are viewing a raster image, so zooming past its native resolution shows the pixels. A Word renders at a fixed 150 DPI here. For a sharper PNG, convert the Word to PDF and use the PDF to PNG converter at 300 DPI.
