Word.to came from the fact that PDF.to was made and the thought came to be "Why not another one similar, but different". So of course, the search for the next domain "hack" was made. Word.to happened to be it.
There was some work that had to be done to add new features related to word. But they where done. After they where done, the about us sat empty for a while. And finally got made. It tells the story all through the other .to domain hacks we developed.
