For Kindle, target MOBI or AZW3, or send the EPUB to your Kindle address (modern Kindles convert it on receipt). The converter picks sensible defaults per EPUB format for the target device. DOCX is Office Open XML, the format Word has produced by default since 2007 and an ISO standard since 2008.
Is my DOCX file private during ebook conversion?
